The Sports Group is proud to be the Commercial Agent and Manager of Global Superstar Daniel Ricciardo
Team: Infiniti Red Bull Racing
DOB: 1 July 1989
Lewis Hamilton may have won the 2014 Drivers’ World Championship, but Daniel Ricciardo was the better driver in his debut season with Infiniti Red Bull. That’s the view of some Formula 1 pundits following Ricciardo’s brilliant break-out year in which he posted three victories and eight podium finishes.
“Anyone who didn’t rate Daniel Ricciardo their driver of 2014 wasn’t paying attention. The Australian set up camp in a team in which every facet was cultivated around the strengths of quadruple world champion Sebastian Vettel, and frankly, blew his doors off.” (Sky Sport UK).
High praise too from Formula 1 colleague and reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton, when he said: “He’s not only one of the nicest guys in the paddock, but also one of the best drivers here, for sure.”

With three race victories and eight podium finishes, Ricciardo was awarded third place in the Drivers’ Championship. In the ensuing 12 months, Ricciardo has made an awe-inspiring leap into international sports’ most elite circle. A panel of 50 sporting greats awarded Daniel Ricciardo the coveted Laureus Sports Award for Breakthrough Performance of the Year, recognising the sportsperson whose performance as a newcomer suggests the greatest potential for an outstanding career. Daniel was also the recipient of the prestigious Trofeo Bandini award, presented to Formula 1’s ‘most impressive’ driver.
In Australia, the ‘Ricciardo-effect’, according to the CEO of the Australian Grand Prix (AGP) Corporation Andrew Westacott, lured an extra 10,000 people to the 2015 AGP in Melbourne.
Daniel Ricciardo has been making headlines right around the world, not only for his on-track success but his luminous smile and grounded normality.
